課程概述 |
課程大綱及授課順序：
心靈（mind）的本質是什麼？心靈與外界世界的關係為何？這些一直是西方哲學傳統的主要議題。到了二十世紀，由於心理學、語言學、資訊科學、認知科學的加入，更使得心靈哲學有豐富的發展。我們將介紹並評估各種對於心靈本質的理論，如：行為主義、心腦同一論（the mind-brain identity theory）、弁鉠?functionalism)。我們也將討論有關心理因果（mental causation）、意識 (consciousness)、意向性 (intentionality)、心理內容（mental content）、感官經驗，及化約主義 (reductionism）的課題。

Students are required to finish the weekly reading assignment before each class. You will spend significant time in reading and thinking. You are expected to make efforts to read the texts closely, write clearly, and think through the problems. Hopefully, your efforts will be intellectually rewarding. |
